There is plenty of choice for ski schools in the area.  Try www.chatel.com for more information.  The two biggest ones are:-

ESF - www.esf-chatel.com.  The "Ecole du Ski Francais" has been in Chatel since 1948, located between the tourist information and the pharmacy in Chatel, and has over 80 instructors.

Ski Surf Ecole International - www.essi-chatel.com, teaches in smaller groups, next to the cinema in Chatel.

For Younger Children

We have been recommended "Le village des Marmottons" a ski school especially for children aged 3 to 6.  Half or full days are available.  See ESF above.

Also for children is the "Halte Garderie Les Mouflets" a nursery for children 8 mnths to 6 yrs open from 8 am to 7 pm, available by the hour, half or full day.
